Praying for the families of Sandy Hook Elementary School

Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of Newtown, Connecticut, especially those who have lost a child.  Let us pray for God’s peace to be present with them even the midst of this terrible tragedy.

We will have a moment of prayer for these families during our Blue Christmas Service this evening (Dec. 16, 5pm).

Let light perpetual shine upon them, O God, our hope and our salvation.

Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost: September 30, 2012

Where do we put up stumbling blocks in the path of others as they come to faith?  Where is God removing those very blocks from our path?

Join us for worship at 10am at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Culpeper, Virgnia.  Thanks be to God!

Seventeenth Sunday after Pentecost: September 23, 2012

This week we hear Jesus say, “Whoever wants to be first must be last and servant of all.”  What does it mean to worship a servant?  Who are you called to serve?

Join us for worship at 10am at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Culpeper, Virgnia.  Thanks be to God!

10th Sunday after Pentecost- Aug 5, 2012

This Sunday we will hear “Do not work for the food that perishes, but the food that endures forever which the son of man will give to you.”  What is that enduring food?  Where are the signs in your life that God is already giving it to you?
