Happy 1st Anniversary of Ordination, Pastor Kate!
St. Luke had a surprise cake and coffee reception for Pastor Kate for her 1st Anniversary of Ordination this past Sunday. It was also a good opportunity to welcome Pastor Kate and Jon back from their Continuing Education trip to Israel.
We also got wonderful pictures of some of our St. Luke’s kids and youth! Check out that joy!
Dinning Out Group
Our “Dining Out Group” went to Luigi’s on January 19th. We dine on the third Saturday of the month at a local area restaurant. Look for our next announcement in the Sunday Bulletin or on this Website.
Lutheran Adults Fun & Fellowship/L.A.F.F.
In January the LAFF group enjoyed lunch at Foti’s in downtown Culpeper. We celebrated a friend’s 80th birthday. There was good food, good conversation, and a good time was had by all. We do this almost every month so look for our sign up sheet on the fellowship bulletin board. Inviting friends and neighbors is encouraged.
4th Annual Epiphany Progressive Dinner
We began our Epiphany evening at Bill & Andrea Thompson’s home with appetizers and a house blessing lead by Tricia Hall. We continued our fellowship at the home of Troy & Kelly Kern. After their house blessing and delicious dinner we traveled to our last stop, the home of Corey & Lori Newsom. There under the stars, we prayed a blessing on the Newsom home and enjoyed too many yummy deserts.
Christmas L.A.F.F. Luncheon 2012
We had a full house at Jane Griffith’s for our Christmas L.A.F.F. Luncheon on Wednesday December 19th. We enjoyed a feast of good food, sang Christmas songs and played Christmas Bingo. Everyone was a winner that day.
Children’s Christmas Program
On Sunday December 16th, St. Luke’s children gave their performance of “It wouldn’t be Christmas without…” Following their show and the worship service we all gathered around for hot cocoa, cookies and good fellowship.
